About me

Hi, I’m Kate.

I’m a specialist SpLD assessor with experience working with children, young people and adults across education, higher education and the workplace.

I’ve worked in education and SEN for over ten years, and now specialise in diagnostic assessment and workplace needs assessment. Alongside my independent work through Cogniversity, I also work part-time for a large occupational psychology company, carrying out diagnostic assessments and workplace needs assessments.

My approach is warm, thorough and practical. I want people to come away from an assessment with a clearer understanding of how they learn and work -including their strengths - and recommendations that are genuinely useful in everyday life.

Qualifications & credentials

I am a qualified Specialist Teacher and Assessor with a Level 7 qualification in assessing and teaching learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and I hold a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).

My professional experience includes diagnostic assessment with children, young people and adults, workplace needs assessments, and ADHD and DCD/dyspraxia screening as part of multidisciplinary work.
