Remote assessments (12+)
Remote diagnostic assessment (includes dyslexia, dyspraxia (DCD) and screening for traits of ADHD). Can be used for support in school, university or the workplace.
The full assessment usually takes around 3 hours to complete (including breaks) and involves a series of tasks to measure:
- Underlying verbal & visual ability
- Working memory
- Phonological processing
- Literacy skills
If you are 18+, I can also explore dyspraxia/DCD and screen for characteristics of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (this will be at an additional cost). For under 18's, any observed difficulties will be included in the report and onward referral will be recommended if necessary.
Before the assessment
You will be sent a booking pack and questionnaire/s for completion. This is a way of gathering background information to support the findings from the assessment and is an essential part of the process. It helps me to build up a complete picture of the individual.
Day of assessment
The assessment is carried out remotely over Zoom. You will need a laptop/desktop or large tablet with a webcam and keyboard. It's not possible to complete the assessment on a small tablet or phone. It's also important that there is a stable internet connection.
Following the assessment
A detailed written report will be emailed to you around 15 working days after the assessment. It will include confirmation of diagnosis (if applicable) with supporting evidence, the individual’s areas of strength and weakness and the appropriate recommendations.
Payment
The assessment costs £500 and this is split into a non-refundable deposit of £100 to confirm the booking and the remainder of £400 which is due 7 days before the day of assessment.
